Pawan Kalyan is an Indian actor, producer, director, screenwriter, and politician. His films include Gokulamlo Seeta (1997), Suswagatham (1998), Thammudu (1999), Badri (2000), Kushi (2001), Jalsa (2008), and Attarintiki Daredi (2013). He is the founder and president of the Jana Sena Party, a political party in India.

Pawan Kalyan was born Kalyan Babu on September 2, 1971, in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is the younger brother of actor Chiranjeevi. Kalyan’s acting career began with a supporting role in the film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi (1996). He has since appeared in over two dozen films.

In March 2014, Kalyan launched the Jana Sena Party (JSP), a political party in India. The party’s slogan is “For the Sake of the People.” The party contested in the 2014 Indian general elections and received over 1.5 million votes. Kalyan has since actively participated in politics and has been a vocal critic of the government.
